Reading Adventure
Summer Reading was a blast, so we are continuing with another neighborhood reading adventure running through January 12th. You will journey through Bridgeville and reading books as you complete tasks, such as, Reading Bingo, a Selfie Scavenger Hunt, and Hometown Highlights. Packets will be available in the library until December 14th or you can print out from our FB page or here. You don’t want to miss out on all the fun!

Children's Programs
Bring your child to the library on the second and fourth Tuesday (next session is December 10th) of every month @11am to read to the L.E.A.P. dogs. The goal of the Literacy Education Assistance Pups is to improve the literacy skills of children and grow their enthusiasm for reading. CHECK THE FLYER FOR DATES! Story Book Corner is held on Tuesdays at the library at 10am and is geared for ages 3-5. On Wednesdays, it is at 9am and is geared for birth-2 years old. Join Ms. Hilary for an educational experience to be held on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 11am-12pm at the library. Each month will have different topic geared for school-aged children. December's will be held at the Bridgeville Historical Society's Museum located at 102 Williams St.in Bridgeville on Thursday, December 5th (DATE CHANGE). There will be a tour of the museum with hot cocoa and snacks following.

Family Programs
Join us on Thursday, December 12th for Snacks with Santa. Choose a session: 11am-1pm or 6-8pm. We will have staggered arrival times for the evening session. Adult Programs
Join us on Saturday, December 14th from 11am-1pm as we discuss the book selection “Once Upon a Wardrobe” by Patti Callahan and also enjoy a variety of Irish and English cuisine. Participants can volunteer to bring a potluck item. Before the event, you will be contacted if you are bringing an hors d'oeuvre, a side dish, or a dessert. Registration is required. Join us on Tuesday, December 10th for holiday crafting! Choose from 2 different crafts (mesh hanging tree or wood frame) similar to the pictures. We have plenty of supplies, unless you wish to bring your own embellishments. Please specify which craft when calling or put in NOTES field online. Registration is required.

Tween/Teen Programs
Join us for a new program for ages 8-14 with Ms. Miranda at the library on Thursday, December 12th from 3:30-4:30pm. We will be discussing "A Wolf Called Wander" by Rosanne Parry in this fun and interactive Book Club. Several copies of the book are reserved at the library and it is also available as an e-book or audio book on the Libby App. Registration is requested. Join Small Town Gaming for a FREE Play Day on Saturday, December 7th from 10am-2pm. Enjoy playing video games and meeting new friends. A free lunch is provided. Join our team for “STEAM Team Showcase” and engage in science-driven activities that are fun and educational. On Wednesday, December 11th, we will be making Cookies in a Jar and Holiday Ornaments. Bring your friends! We prefer registration.

Our Friends Attic is OPEN! Stop by to shop for holiday gifts for friends and family. The shop will be open until Saturday, Dec. 7th. Basket Raffles Tickets are for sale! With over 25 baskets available, there’s something for everyone: $2/ticket, $5 for 3 or $10 for 10. Winners will be drawn on Wednesday, Dec. 11th. Ken Dispoto, The Santa Carver, has displayed a portion of his amazing collection at the library. Swing by to purchase one of his unique creations. All sales support the library. Our Friends group helps with programming, fundraising, volunteering, and more. We would love your support!

Sussex County Mobile Health Unit
Do you need a flu shot? Or a Covid-19 Test? Want to get the latest Covid-19 vaccination? Need HIV Testing, counseling and referral? Or just need some important health information? You can get all of these at the Delaware Division of Public Health’s Mobile Health Unit in the parking lot on Thursday, December 5th from 10am-3pm. The Mobile Unit is wheelchair accessible. Vaccination and testing require patient and/or guardian consent. No appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome. Dress for the weather as the wait line and check-ins are outside. For health privacy reasons, only one family at a time is able to enter the unit.
