"Tubman Travels" Author Jim Duffy

On Tuesday, April 2nd at 6 PM join award-winning writer Jim Duffy as he wanders the backroads and small towns of Maryland’s Eastern Shore and Delaware in search of sites and scenes that will put modern-day travelers in touch with stories from the lives of men and women who set out against all odds in search of freedom from slavery. The journeys in the book begin on the wide Choptank River in Cambridge, Maryland and then wander along scenic backroads leading through history-laden towns such as Easton, St. Michaels, Denton, Chestertown continuing through Seaford, NewCastle, and Wilmington.

L.E.A.P. Dog Sessions

The Literacy Education Assistance Pups, L.E.A.P., will be at the Bridgeville Library on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 6-7pm. Come on in and read to the dogs.

Join us at the Library to celebrate "Read Across America" and Dr. Seuss' birthday month. Miss Kathy will be reading books and having activites centered around these books: March 5th- "Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss"; March 12th-"I Wish I Had Duck Feet"; March 19th- "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?"; March 26th- I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"

Sussex County 4-H Tech Club

The Sussex County 4-H Tech Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 5-6:30pm. Mr. Keith hosts the meeting at the Bridgeville Public Library. This is open to all current AND non-4H’ers grades 4-12. Learn how 3D printers work and how to use 3D CAD software to design objects that you can 3D print. Learn the basics of computer coding and we will learn to make computer games and other useful programs. Learn about electricity and electronics. We will make soldering and other projects.

Basic Computer and Tech Assistance

Join us at the Bridgeville Library every Friday from 3-5pm. We will offer assistance with your portable (laptops, e-readers, tablets, etc.) technology. Our friendly library staff and our tech volunteer Jim will assist you with your questions and issues. Basic computer skill tutorials are available on a limited basis.
