UUMC Jubilee Ringers and Joyful ringers Concert

The UUMC Church of Bridgeville will present a concert with the Jubilee Ringers and the Joyful Ringers at the library. It will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at 7 PM. This program is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Bridgeville Library.

Snacks with Santa

We will have Snacks with Santa at 11 am in the library on Tuesday, December 17th. There will also be crafts for the children to make. Our special guests will be the Phillis Wheatley Elementary School choir performing Christmas music to enjoy! Registration is required for this event. Please call the library at 337-7401 to register your child before December 14th.

Family Fun Night-December

Family Fun Night in December will be "Snacks with Santa". It will be held at the library from 6-8 pm. There will be snacks and crafts for the children who attend and photo opportunities with Santa! Registration is required so please call the library at 337-7401 to register your child. We encourage each family to bring a new toy to donate to the Toys for Tots program.

Story Time-November

Story Time will be held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 11am and 2 pm. It will be a fun and interactive session for children 3-6 years old integrating literacy skills and the arts. We will also have an additional Story Time on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6 pm for the entire family to attend. We encourage parents and caregivers to come with your child/children and participate in this learning experience. If your daycare is interested in attending a Story Time session, please contact Ms. Kathy @ 337-7401 ext. 101. In November, the Story Time themes will be on the 12th (Owls) and the 26th (Being Thankful).

L.E.A.P. Dog Sessions

The Literacy Education Assistance Pups, L.E.A.P., will be at the Bridgeville Library on November 19th @ 11AM and the 21st @ 10AM. Come on in and read to the dogs. This program is free and open to all kids. Not all the dogs will be available at all the sessions. Come to each session and you can meet many of the dogs.

Sussex County 4-H Tech Club

The Sussex County 4-H Tech Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 5-6:30pm. Mr. Keith hosts the meeting at the Bridgeville Public Library. This is open to all current AND non-4H’ers grades 4-12. Learn how 3D printers work and how to use 3D CAD software to design objects that you can 3D print. Learn the basics of computer coding and make computer games and other useful programs. Learn about electricity and electronics. We will make soldering and other projects.

Foodie Friday- November

The Bridgeville Library will be offering a Cooking Class for kids for ages 4-6. It will be held one Friday a month at 2 pm. Registration is required so please call the library at 337-7401 to reserve a spot. The next session is November 22nd.

Build, Construct, Create - Ages 1-10 years

Beginning in September, join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month for a fun learning experience for builders, ages 1-10 years old. We will host three age groups at separate times throughout the day to use our two Lego Duplo activity centers. Caregivers must supervise their builders. 10-10:45am for ages 1-3 years; 11-11:45am for ages 4-6 years and 5-5:45pm for ages 7-10 years.

The Creation Station

The Creation Station will be a learning session for children ages 3-6 held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 11am. The Creation Station classes will incorporate STEAM, which is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. STEAM learning happens every day as children explore, play and try new things! Join us for this creative learning experience at the library!

Yoga with Bonnie

The Bridgeville Library is offering sessions of "Contemporary Yoga for Modern Maturity" designed to uplift and elevate the mind, body and spirit from September 3rd through November 23rd. Bonnie Russell from Ananda Yoga is the Instructor. On Tuesdays at 6 PM Gentle Yoga will be offered and on Saturdays at 9:30 AM the class is titled Yoga Flow. These classes are free and open to all ages 10 and older. Please bring your own mat.

Pre-K Explorations

Pre-K Explorations will be held on the last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each month from 10:30-11:30 am (except for the holiday months of October, November and December) . This program is for children 4 years of age to prepare them with skills needed for kindergarten. Each month they will explore a different kindergarten skill. In the month of November, the focus will be: Identifying beginning sounds. Registration for this class is REQUIRED. Basic Computer and Tech Assistance

Join us at the Bridgeville Library every Friday from 3-5pm. We will offer assistance with your portable (laptops, e-readers, tablets, etc.) technology. Caterpillar Clubhouse

Bring your Luv Bug ages 3 months-3 years old to the Bridgeville Public Library on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am to participate in our early literacy lapsit program. The Baby Story Time is a program for your child with fun, interactive learning experiences that include rhymes, singing, puppets and stories. Join Ms. Kathy to actively explore and share this experience with new friends.
