Join us for a whole day of fun on Saturday, February 7th anytime from 10am-2pm for "Take Your Child to the Library Day". We will have storytime @ 11am, 12pm and 1pm, crafts, games, food and FREE gaming w/ Small Town Gaming Entertainment in the meeting room. The library isn't just for books! Children's Programs
Join Ms. Hilary on Tuesdays @ 10am for Story Book Corner with stories, songs, and rhymes about Love and Friendship in February. On the first Tuesday of each month, it is held at the Seaford Chick-Fil-A. There will not be a session on February 24th. "Little Acorns" Music & Movement will be held on Wednesdays @ 9am in the library. Enjoy dancing, swaying, or just observing at this time of movement, rhythm, and fun. Ms. Hilary will model some songs, rhymes, finger plays, and bounces to use at home. This will encourage early learning to foster early literacy skills and develop a lifelong love of books. Reading to baby can support their social and emotional development. There will not be a session on February 18th. Bring your child to the library on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month @11am to read to the L.E.A.P. dogs. For the Library Learners League Homeschool group in February, we will have representatives from the Delaware Historical and Cultural Affairs on Thursday, February 12th @ 2pm for "The Swedish Trunk Program". The students will explore what Swedish colonists would have brought over to the Americas and the thought process behind bringing those objects. This is a hands-on activity as students will be able to handle replicas of objects and have discussions. Registration is required. Parents-Please sign up your child/children. Join Ms. Keciha
during the Mahogany Children’s Book Festival

Adult Programs
On the 2nd Friday in February from 3-5pm, you can play Mahjong for beginners to experienced players to learn or play the game of Mahjong. We will have 2 boards available or you may bring your own board/racks and cards/tiles to play, if you wish. Registration is required. Join us on the 1st Monday of February @ 2pm for a fun cardio drumming class. PACE Your Life will be hosting "Drums Alive", suitable for all abilities and free to attend at the Bridgeville Library. It will be held on a first come-first served basis for up to 32 people. All equipment needed will be provided and you have an option to stand or sit. ---Adult Craft Night is FULL---Join us on Tuesday, February 3rd from 6-8pm to make a scrapbook paper wreath in a Valentine, Spring or theme of your choice similar to the pictures shown. We will supply you with the 30 pages needed unless you wish to bring your own. Any embellishments are also welcome! Registration is required. Join us on Saturday, February 14th from 11am-1pm as we discuss the book selection “The God of Small Things” by Arundhati Roy and enjoy a variety of India inspired cuisine. The book is available as an audiobook, eBook and on the Libby App. Registration is required. Join us on Tuesday, February 24th from 3-4pm at the library for BINGO with PACE Your Life. It's FREE to attend with FREE prizes. We will play six games of regular bingo. Up to two cards per person. No repeat winners. Refreshments will be provided by the Bridgeville Library.

Tween/Teen Programs
Join Small Town Gaming for a FREE Play Day on Saturday, February 7th from 10am-2pm. Play all your favorite games on all your favorite consoles and meet new friends. A free lunch is provided. We have formed a new club of young artists (tweens and teens) that would like to meet with other artists and share their works of art, possibly leading to learning new skills and crafts. Join Ms. Hilary for this new "get together" on Wednesday, February 25th at 2pm. Bring a friend and your creations to the library. Registration is preferred. Do you love discussing your favorite Anime and Manga series, and discovering new ones? Then our Anime & Manga Club is the place for you! Join Ms. Miranda for a fun interactive Book Club on Thursday, February 26th at 3:30pm. This month’s book is "The Westing Game" by Ellen Raskin. Mobile Health2GO Unit & DSAMH
Do you need a flu shot? Or a Covid-19 Test? Want to get the latest Covid-19 vaccination? Need HIV Testing, counseling and referral? Or just need some important health information? You can get all of these at the Delaware Health and Social Services Health2Go Mobile Health Unit in the parking lot on Tuesday, February 10th from 10am-3pm. No appointment needed. Insurance accepted but not necessary. A representative from the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health will be at the library on Thursday, February 19th from 10am-1pm. They will have Narcan and wound care kits to distribute, along with information and giveaways. Our mission is to reduce substance abuse and related problem behaviors by strengthening children, families and communities through training and education and services.

Mahogany Book Festival & Black History Month Celebration
The Mahogany Children's Book Festival will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 10am-2pm at the Bridgeville Library (600 S. Cannon St. Bridgeville, DE). You’re invited to join us as we kick off Black Children’s Book Week with books, family, culture, and fun. We will have 10 children’s book authors, an author performance, books, merchandise and food for purchase. Black Children’s Book Week is Sunday, Feb. 22nd - Saturday, Feb. 28th. This event is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts (https://www.arts.delaware.gov), a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (https://www.arts.gov). The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com ; and through a partnership with the Bridgeville Public Library and the Cornerstone Community Center. The Bridgeville Library in partnership with Cornerstone Community Center will have a Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, February 28th from 10am-2pm. Join us with Dionne Patterson, “Conductor Dee”, from the Underground Railroad Experiences Inc., to take a figurative walk through Harriet Tubman's Sussex County journey on the Underground Railroad! There will also be crafts, food, and music. Family fun for all!
